SpiceJet's stock price dropped by nearly 10% on March 12 due to the resignations of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Shilpa Bhatia and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Arun Kashyap. The executives were asked to resign after plans emerged for them to venture into the aviation charter plane business through their spouses. SpiceJet has undergone a series of layoffs and has implemented manpower rationalisation measures since receiving a recent fund infusion of Rs 1,060 crore.
