India successfully flight-tested Agni-5 missile, demonstrating MIRV capability.
Former DRDO spokesperson Ravi Gupta hailed the first flight test of India's Agni-5 missile, calling it a "moment of pride" and proof of the country's technological ability. The missile is capable of deploying multiple warheads and is equipped with indigenous sensors and avionics. With this test, India has joined a select group of countries possessing MIRV (Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle) capability.
