17ft snake among 27 dead snakes and 4 chickens found dumped in boxes, bin bags and pillowcases on the side of a road in rural Wales. RSPCA is appealing for information after discovering the abandoned animals in Waterston, Pembrokeshire. The snakes, which ranged from 1ft to 17ft in length, were believed to be of a constrictor type, and four dead white chickens were found alongside them. RSPCA inspector Keith Hogben called it one of the worst cases he has dealt with in 25 years.
