Felipe Massa sues FIA, F1 Management, and Ecclestone, claiming lost 2008 title due to uninvestigated "Crashgate" scandal.
Former F1 driver Felipe Massa filed a lawsuit in London against the FIA, Formula One Management, and Bernie Ecclestone, claiming the rightful 2008 title. Massa believes he lost the championship to Lewis Hamilton by a single point due to the "Crashgate" scandal, where Renault orchestrated a win for Fernando Alonso by ordering Nelson Piquet Jr. to crash. Massa's lawyers want the FIA to acknowledge that it "breached its regulations by failing to promptly investigate" Piquet's crash and seek compensation for Massa.
