A tulip in the Netherlands has been named Tulipa Shefali after Indian-American diplomat Shefali Razdan Duggal, the US Ambassador to the Netherlands, to celebrate her advocacy for gender equity on International Women's Day. The tulip is part of Maveridge International's breeding program in St. Maarten and represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The ambassador expressed her honor and gratitude for the recognition.
