British actor Idris Elba is planning to build a wind-powered eco-city on Sierra Leone's Sherbro Island. His company, Sherbro Alliance Partners, is collaborating with the government to develop a special economic zone on the island to attract people from around the world. The actor, who was born in London to a Sierra Leonean father and a Ghanaian mother, is an advocate for building up the African creative arts economy.
