Ballard Power Systems Q4 GAAP loss widened to $48.9M and missed analyst estimates, resulting in share decline.
Ballard Power Systems shares fell after Q4 results showed a $48.9M GAAP loss, which widened from the previous year's $27.6M loss and missed the $0.13/share analyst consensus estimate. The company's order backlog also decreased by 3% to $130.5M. Despite Q4 revenues more than doubling to $46.8M, beating the $26.3M consensus estimate, the stock still saw a decline. This was partly due to a higher gross margin loss driven by inventory impairment charges.
