43-year-old RAF technician Corporal David Thorne, with 26 years of service, died in a motorcycle crash in Aberdeenshire, Scotland on March 5. Known for his selfless approach and dedication to supporting others, Thorne had served in the Falklands, Afghanistan, and Cyprus, and was set to receive a promotion at 1 (Fighter) Squadron. The RAF is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
