27-year-old Louisiana State Trooper Isaiah Gilbert was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and careless operation after crashing his car into a sign on Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish. Off-duty at the time of the incident, Gilbert was placed on administrative leave, and all law enforcement property was recovered pending the conclusion of investigations. He has been employed by the Louisiana State Police since 2021.
