Women opting for freelancing jobs in India doubled in the past year, rising from 4% in February 2023 to 8% in February 2024, according to a report from talent management platform foundit (formerly Monster jobs). The increase is attributed to the convenience of the gig economy and freelancing industry. There was a 56% increase in jobs for women candidates in February 2021 compared to February 2020.
