Tauranga building evacuated due to potential explosive threats during firearms examination by Customs staff.
A Tauranga building was evacuated after potential explosive threats were discovered during the examination of declared firearms by Customs staff. Police were called to the commercial premises on Whiore Ave in Tauriko at 10.45am, leading to the evacuation and a police cordon being put in place to secure the premises. New Zealand Defence Force bomb staff were notified and responded to the incident.
