Supreme Court grants interim protection to Indian TV anchor Sudhir Chaudhary against coercive actions in casteist remark case.

The Supreme Court has granted interim protection to Indian TV news anchor Sudhir Chaudhary, directing no coercive actions be taken against him until further orders in a case related to allegedly making casteist remarks. The case emerged after Adivasi Sena filed a complaint against Chaudhary, resulting in an FIR under the Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Chaudhary is challenging the Jharkhand High Court, which refused to stay the proceedings against him, and the matter will be heard again in April.
