Robert Downey Jr. has made history as the first "Saturday Night Live" (SNL) cast member to win an Oscar, following his win for Best Supporting Actor in 2022. This significant milestone comes after two previous nominations in 1992 and 2008. In 1985, Downey joined SNL's less popular season, which also featured Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Joan Cusack, and Anthony Michael Hall.
