Norway approves $193m funding for GoliatVind, a 5-turbine Arctic floating offshore wind farm.
Norway has granted $193 million in state funding to the GoliatVind project, a floating offshore wind farm planned in Arctic waters. The project, located in the Barents Sea, will consist of five 15MW turbines and aims to supply power to the Arctic town of Hammerfest. Norway hopes that floating offshore wind will provide an industrial future for its offshore supply industry and contribute to emission cuts in oil and gas production.
