Nigeria's Anuoluwapo Opeyori secured the country's first gold medal in the ongoing African Games in Ghana by triumphing in the Men's Singles Badminton event. Nigeria's female wrestlers also won all six gold medals at the games, with Olympic Silver medalist Blessing Oborodudu, multiple world medalist Odunayo Adekuoroye, and Commonwealth champion Mercy Genesis among the winners.
