Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has asked state governors to pay pending wage awards to workers, aiming to provide relief amid economic hardships without causing inflationary pressures. Tinubu believes that implementing these wage awards would help people cope with the new minimum wage. The Federal Executive Council will also adopt the same measure. In addition, Tinubu called on governors to support the Livestock Change program, aiming to transform challenges related to cattle rustling into economic opportunities.
