Liberia's Senate has formed a committee to address concerns of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL), following a recent nationwide protest by AFL officers' spouses. The protest called for better incentives, housing, and labor practices, and led to the cancellation of the Armed Forces Day celebration. The Senate committee will work with AFL leadership to list issues to be included in the national budget.
