Japanese PM Kishida faces a challenging political future due to a slush fund scandal within his ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). The Kishida Cabinet's approval rating has fallen to a record low of 20.1%, with 91.4% of respondents believing LDP lawmakers involved in the scandal have not been held accountable. The LDP's support rate has dropped to 24.5%, its lowest since December 2012, while the disapproval rating for Kishida's Cabinet has risen to 64.4%.
