India's Agni-5 missile, with MIRV technology, successfully test-flown; 6th country with such capability.
India successfully conducted its first test flight of a domestically developed missile, Agni-5, equipped with multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicle (MIRV) technology. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised DRDO scientists for this achievement, making India the sixth country with this technology. Agni-5, with a range of 5,000-7,000 km, is primarily designed to enhance India's nuclear deterrence against China.
