The IDB approves a $3.5bn capital increase for IDB Invest, doubling its size to fund more poverty and climate change projects.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) has approved a $3.5bn capital increase for its private sector arm, IDB Invest. This move will double IDB Invest's size over the next few years, enabling it to fund more projects addressing poverty and climate change. The additional capital will allow IDB Invest to channel resources to the region at around $19bn per year, up from the current $8bn.
