Community group appeals Alki Elementary rebuild project in West Seattle for insufficient parking spaces.

The Alki Elementary rebuild project in West Seattle, which initially had no proposed parking spaces, is being appealed again by a local community group led by Steve Cuddy. The group, Friends for a Safe Alki Community, claims the project's plan now includes 15 parking spaces, arguing that it still does not meet required zoning rules. Alki Elementary is one of two schools in the area being recommended for major projects under the Seattle Public Schools BEX V levy, with a rebuild project on the list.
