Belarus conducts combat readiness inspection in response to NATO exercises near its borders.
Belarus has launched a full-scale inspection of its armed forces' combat readiness in response to ongoing NATO military exercises near its borders. The Defense Ministry announced that this measure is necessary due to the heightened military-political situation and is a response to NATO-led exercises, such as the Polish-led Dragon 24 exercises, which are part of the NATO Steadfast Defender military drills, the largest in Europe in decades. Belarus plans to intensify such reactions in the future involving more participating troops.
