Alabama State Rep. John Rogers agrees to plead guilty to mail and wire fraud, obstructing justice, and resigns from the Alabama House.

Alabama State Rep. John Rogers has agreed to plead guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and conspiracy to obstruct justice involving the Jefferson County Community Service Fund. As part of the guilty plea agreement, Rogers has also agreed to resign from the Alabama House of Representatives. Rogers' former assistant, Varrie Johnson Kindall, and former Rep. Fred Plump Jr. have both previously pleaded guilty to related charges.
