Smartphone saves driver after crash: A driver in his 20s crashed his ute in Queensland's Maranoa region. His smartphone, which sensed the accident, auto-dialled emergency services after the vehicle landed in a ditch. The man suffered a head injury and was treated at the scene by a LifeFlight aeromedical helicopter crew, paramedics, and a nurse. He was later airlifted to Roma Hospital.
