A pedestrian was critically injured in San Jose after being hit by a vehicle near South 7th Street and Phelan Avenue on Saturday morning. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, which were later stabilized, and the person remains in critical condition. South 7th Street was temporarily closed between Phelan Avenue and Leo Avenue while authorities investigated the incident.
