ONGC's KG-DWN-98/2 block oil production reaches Mangalore Refinery for processing towards India's energy self-sufficiency.

ONGC's first oil from the KG-DWN-98/2 deep-sea block in the Krishna Godavari basin has reached Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL). The low sulfur, indigenous crude oil will be processed into fuels and petrochemicals at MRPL, contributing to India's energy self-sufficiency and "Athmanirbhar Bharat" mission. The KG-DWN-98/2 block, which started oil production in January, is currently producing around 12,000-12,500 barrels of oil per day and is expected to reach 45,000 barrels per day and 10 million standard cubic meters per day of natural gas at peak production.
