Nigerian Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has threatened to terminate the Benin/Sapele and Ologbo Road reconstruction contract if Levant Construction Company fails to adhere to the project's scope and specifications. Umahi expressed disappointment in the quality of work, accused contractors of playing politics, and stated that he would not tolerate such behavior. If contractors do not comply by the end of a 14-day notice period, Umahi would personally terminate the contract.
