Kolkata Metro's first underwater commercial service begins between Kolkata and Howrah on 15th March.
Kolkata Metro's commercial services on three newly inaugurated stretches including the underwater Howrah Maidan to Esplanade section will commence on 15th March. The newly inaugurated stretches include the Green Line's Howrah Maidan to Esplanade section, Orange Line's Kavi Subhash to Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stretch, and the Purple Line's Taratala to Majerhat section. The first underwater commercial service in India will begin between the cities of Kolkata and Howrah on 15th March.
