Kerala government transfers student's death investigation to CBI following allegations of SFI involvement.
The Kerala government has decided to hand over the investigation into the death of Veterinary University student J S Sidharthan to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following a meeting between the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Sidharthan's family. The student was found hanging in his hostel room on February 18, after allegedly being tortured by a group of students led by SFI members. The CBI probe comes after opposition parties and the victim's father accused the SFI of involvement in the student's death.
