Jesmond Public School, a multicultural school in the Newcastle, Central Coast, and Blue Mountains region, celebrated inclusive Harmony Day ahead of the official event on March 21. With a diverse student body, 69% speaking English as an additional language, and 13.4% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, the school hosted 29 cultures in cultural workshops, traditional clothing, and shared meals. Principal James McGill emphasized the importance of celebrating diversity, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting support for one another regardless of background.
