India's Prasar Bharati and KVIC sign an MOU for Doordarshan news anchors to wear Khadi clothing, supporting PM Modi's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'
India's public service broadcaster, Prasar Bharati, and Khadi Village and Industries Commission (KVIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote Khadi clothing for Doordarshan news anchors. As part of the agreement, news anchors of DD News and DD India will now wear clothes made of Khadi, contributing to the promotion of India's rich heritage and modernity. This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat,' or self-reliant India, and promotes the adoption of sustainable fashion choices.
