India signed a historic $100 billion Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), comprising Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. In return for the investment, India agreed to lift most import tariffs on industrial products from these four nations. The deal is expected to boost trade in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, new technologies, and machinery.
