Gladiator Sabre (Sheli McCoy) suffers hamstring injury during 'The Edge' challenge, retires from BBC One show.
BBC Gladiator, Sabre (real name Sheli McCoy), has suffered a hamstring injury during a competition and will not participate in the rest of the popular BBC One show. Sabre, a Dundee gym owner, was competing against Sheffield firefighter, Bronte Jones, on 'The Edge' challenge when the injury occurred, causing her to retire from the game. Gladiators referee Mark Clattenburg confirmed the injury, awarding maximum points to her opponent.
