69-year-old Silvia Resendiz Alonzo died in a crash in East El Paso on March 7 after failing to yield the right of way. The collision occurred when Alonzo tried to make a left turn onto Montwood Drive and her vehicle was T-boned by a Nissan Titan. Police cited her failure to yield the right of way and the other driver's speed as contributing factors to the crash. This marks the 12th traffic fatality in El Paso this year.
