Former Garda immigration officer John Egan (61) has been jailed for sexually assaulting and harassing two non-EU nationals who sought his help with visa applications and passports at a Roscommon Garda station in Ireland. Egan, from Drum, Knock, Co Mayo, was convicted of sexually assaulting one woman in February 2015 and harassing both women between June 2014 and March 2017. He previously pleaded guilty to the offenses last year.
