5 Tribal Nations join federal agencies in crafting a management plan for Bears Ears National Monument's ancestral lands and sacred sites, marking a first in U.S. history. The Bears Ears Commission, comprising the Ute Indian Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Zuni Tribe, Hopi Tribe, and Navajo Nation, along with federal partners from the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service, have released a draft Resource Management Plan (RMP) following nearly two years of collaboration.
