Supreme Court's public trust polarizes along partisan lines after Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health ruling.

The Supreme Court's "special status" has eroded due to its shift to the right, particularly with the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade. New research by the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania shows that for the first time in decades, the public's view of the court has become polarized along partisan lines. While 72% of Republicans trust the Supreme Court to operate in the best interests of the American people, only 39% of Democrats do, resulting in a 43% gap in public trust.
