Nigerian airlines attribute low air travel to normal low season, not high fares.
Airline operators in Nigeria have stated that exorbitant airfares are not responsible for the low level of air travel currently being experienced, attributing the fall in air travels to normal low season in the industry, not the cost of fare. Fares for a Lagos to Abuja flight range from N78,000 to N196,548, while during peak season in December, the same flight costs between N230,000 and N300,000.
