A Kansas home in Topeka suffered $80,000 in damages after an early Friday fire, according to the Topeka Fire Department. First responders found smoke and flames coming from the rear of a single-story house at 4324 SE Massachusetts Court around 1 a.m. No occupants were found in the home, and the fire was contained to the structure. The fire was determined to be accidental, and the house had no working smoke detectors.
