French luxury group Kering and eyewear maker EssilorLuxottica are among potential buyers for Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin. Marcolin, the manufacturer of Tom Ford eyewear, has held early discussions with Kering, EssilorLuxottica, Safilo, and Marchon. Marcolin's private equity owner, PAI Partners, seeks a valuation of €1.3B ($1.4B) but potential suitors have yet to show willingness to overspend.
