During Washington state's 60-day legislative session, lawmakers achieved bipartisan support for addressing the opioid crisis and banning hog-tying by police, while over 300 bills headed to Democratic Governor Jay Inslee's desk. In total, 80% of the legislation received bipartisan support. However, some progressive bills did not pass, such as efforts to overturn the Climate Commitment Act.
