Cumberland Council will complete urgent works on Cockermouth's partially collapsed Old Courthouse, owned by Samiul Ahmed, and bill him for the costs. The council previously served Section 54 notices on Ahmed, who failed to take any action. The Grade-II listed building, which collapsed into the River Cocker in 2022, poses challenges due to its location near a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
