22-year-old Cincinnati Reds infielder Noelvi Marte was suspended for 80 games after testing positive for Boldenone, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. Marte, the Reds' top prospect, was expected to be the team's starting third baseman in the 2024 season. His suspension without pay will begin at the start of the regular 2024 season.
