8-year-old autistic girl chained to a bed in Provo home; parents arrested on child abuse charges. Provo police arrested Emily Sorensen (40) and Benjamin Sorensen (45) after a visit from the Utah Division of Child and Family Services revealed the non-verbal child chained to a bunk bed in their living room. The couple faces charges of abuse or neglect of a child with a disability, a third-degree felony.
