Western Australia's new Mt Holland lithium mine, developed in partnership with Covalent Lithium, Wesfarmers, and SQM Chile, will produce enough lithium hydroxide to power one million electric vehicles. The $2.6 billion project supports 1,000 jobs during construction and 350 during operations. Chilean lithium giant, SQM, is investing in Australian lithium with aggressive expansion plans, citing the country as "the future" and "a great place to do business."
