West Yorkshire Combined Authority proposes a £2bn tram system linking Leeds and Bradford, with potential future expansions.
West Yorkshire Combined Authority plans a £2bn tram system connecting Leeds and Bradford, with potential future links to Dewsbury, Wakefield, Kirklees, and Calderdale. The first phase includes two lines: Leeds Line from St James' University Hospital to White Rose Shopping Centre and a Bradford Line from Bradford Forster Square to a new Bradford rail station. If approved, it will be the largest infrastructure project in West Yorkshire since motorways were developed six decades ago.
