The US Justice Department launches a whistleblower rewards program for corporate misconduct disclosures.

The US Justice Department (DOJ) is launching a whistleblower rewards program later this year, announced Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco. The program aims to encourage more individuals to disclose corporate misconduct, with a focus on information related to criminal abuse of the US financial system, foreign and domestic corruption cases, and illegal corporate payments to government officials. This move follows the success of other U.S. whistleblower award programs, such as the SEC, CFTC, and IRS, which the DOJ plans to offer awards for tips not covered under these programs.
