Union Minister Nitin Gadkari approved Rs 2,093.92 crore for widening two highways and a ropeway project in Jammu & Kashmir. The funds will be used for a 1.5 km ropeway from SDA Parking to Shankaracharya Temple, and upgrading the Nashri-Chenani section of National Highway-244. These projects aim to enhance connectivity and infrastructure, supporting economic development and tourism in the region.
