President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) states that micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia contribute 61% to the country's GDP and employ 97% of its workforce. Jokowi praises the state-owned bank BRI's support for MSME growth through digital banking services and acknowledges the government's KUR credit assistance. Despite these contributions, MSME exports account for only 15% of Indonesia's total exports.
