Oireachtas Committee recommends assisted dying legislation for terminally ill individuals in Ireland.

An Oireachtas Committee recommends legislation for assisted dying in Ireland. The proposed legislation would apply to individuals with an incurable, irreversible, progressive, and advanced illness that is expected to cause death within six months, or 12 months for neurodegenerative conditions. The illness must also be causing unrelievable suffering. If passed, the legislation would allow for both assisted suicide and euthanasia.
